Zzzzzz... Zzzzzzzz..

I'm still not 100% sure why "Z" is the letter of sleep.

So tired. I should have taken a nap at D!'s last night, instead of watching the PPV. If I would have known I would be out that late, I would have left earlier, or not gone at all. I'm a walking zombie today. It's hot in the office and I'm tired. That's never a good combination. I need to have something cool & take a nap when I get home. My show is on tonight, and I need to be awake for it!

But I did get a healthy start on my new game! Can't wait to finish it! Maybe I'll get some play in tonight... I'll be that much closer to crossing something off my list!

Alright, enough mindless drivel. Back to work!

Bookz Tag!

Finally! The post that Ninja has been waiting for!

o.k.

# of books I own: I'd say between 75 & 100-ish. (Too lazy to actually count them)

Last book I bought: I splurged at Indigo and bought Waiting for Godot, Ranma 1/2 #1 & the Underpants.

Last book(s) I read: The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (not because of the movie, but because I wanted the box set)

5 books that mean a lot to me:

1) Tommy's Tale by Alan Cumming.
Alan Cumming is one of my favorite broadway actors. I've loved his work ever since I heard the first beautiful lines of "Cabaret." And OhMaGawd he wrote a book! I loved the stories, I loved the expressions, and at the end, that's the kind of family I want to have. You'd have to read it to understand. Just know that this book is what I wish my life could be like (just without the drugs.)

2) The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Don't think it's cheesy. It's the first fantasy novel I'd read and one of the first "grown up" books I'd read outside of school. I couldn't put it down. I remember being on vacation and asking for the keys so I could sit in the car and read. Willing to put up with horrible car sickness just to find out what happened next. Anything that holds my attention that well means something to me.

3) Hitchikers Guide by Douglas Adams
I love british comedy! I'm a huge Monty Python fan, and Adams just has this hysterical, off-the-wall storytelling quality that I love! I hadn't devoured books like this since I got addicted to Harry Potter. A cult favorite that I'm proud to be a part of.

4) Yuck! A Love Story by Don Gillmor & illustrated by Marie-Louise Gay
Yeah, it's a kids book. But it's a cool kids book. A boy is invited to a girl's birthday party (Eww!! Girls!), and decides that he's going to give her... the moon. I found this book while I was doing inventory in a book store. I read it quickly while I was working and have loved it ever since. And I gave it to someone I love. It's a cute story to be shared with those you really care about.

And last but not least:

5) The Bible
What?!?! That heathen read the Bible!! Yes, I did. And I usually liked it. I've been dealing with my faith (or lack thereof) recently and I realised that it really does mean a lot to me. And the Bible happens to be a very important part of my faith. I have found comfort and answers (good or bad) there and I will hold it near and dear to me for a long time.

So there.

I hereby claim the right of multi-tag!
Dr. Teeth... you love lists too. Don't deny it! Tag!!

And Jugglepants? I know you're out there! Tag!!

20 Thingz To Do In A Restaurant If You're Bored

I was bored one day in a restaurant while I was waiting for someone:

1. Make a fort out of menus.
2. Build a tower of creamers.
3. Champagne Fountain!
4. Ask other people to taste your food "incase it's poisoned."
5. Spread out across the restaurant, try to look like secret agents.
6. Cutlery sculptures.
7. Join the birthday at the next table.
8. Re-arrange the restaurant decor.
9. Ask to borrow the salt from another table. Don't give it back.
10. Try to trade appetizers with another table.
11. Tell the bartender a fictional sob story to get a free drink "to cry in."
12. Try to start a game of telephone around the dining room.
13. Steal all the table candles. Start a seance; try to contact Elvis.
14. Write secret messages on the bathroom mirrors with lipstick/ketchup/soap/pasta sauce.
15. Steal a bunch of chairs, put them in a row, nap.
16. Translate the menu into a made-up language.
17. Start a conga-line.
18. Offer free foot massages with dessert.
19. Try one of everything! (Even if it's not yours!)
20. Chinese Fire Drill!!

Biz Zee!

I miss sleep. And I will continue to miss sleep for the rest of the week.
It's not that I mind the late nights working in the venue, or the long rehearsals. In fact, I love that part. What I mind is having to get up for work early the next morning. It was an amazing feat of determination for me to pull my ass out of bed this a.m.

I'm pretty sure this is what the rest of my week will look like: Get up early, go to work, go do show stuff until late, go home to sleep, repeat. Good thing I like this show.

Ninja, I promise that I will not burn out. My venue is a bar, the drinks are plentiful, and the show is all about sex!
