Nez Takes a Test!

So I took the personality defect test from Jugglepants's LiveJournal (who got it from human_loser)

Apparently I'm a
Hippie
You are 42% Rational, 71% Extroverted, 28% Brutal, and 28% Arrogant.

You are the Hippie! Characterized by a strong sense of extroversion, irrationality, gentleness, and humility, you no doubt frolic through fields preaching peace and love to all! You are probably either very spiritual or needlessly paranoid about "the man", like most hippies, as a result of your focus on intuition and feelings over cold, brutal logic. You are also very, very social. And like any hippie, who would have no qualms about hitchiking across the country just to meet some interesting people, you too love to interact with others, even complete strangers. Because we know most any hippie is peace-loving and humble, it stands to reason that you, as well, are terribly gentle and humble, almost to the point of revulsion. Your carefree attitude of peace and harmony is probably very, very sickening to realists or cynics or anyone who isn't a hippie, to tell the truth. In short, your personality is defective because you are overly emotional, extroverted, gentle, and humble--thus making you an annoying hippie. And you listen to psychadelic rock and smoke a whole lot of pot. Okay, maybe not, but I wouldn't be surprised if you did.

To put it less negatively:

1. You are more INTUITIVE than rational.

2. You are more EXTROVERTED than introverted.

3. You are more GENTLE than brutal.

4. You are more HUMBLE than arrogant.

Compatibility:

Your exact opposite is the Sociopath.

Other personalities you would probably get along with are the Hand-Raiser, the Televangelist, and the Robot.

Huh. Who knew?

***Also, I realized my comments section was not allowing anonymous comments. I fixed that. Feel free to comment to your hearts content, people!!***

Why would anyone do this?

Wednesday, July 13, 2005

Zzzzzz... huh?

3 am

Me: Zzzzzzzzz.....

Thump thump thump

Me: (gaining coherence) ...

Knock knock

Me: Yeah?

Roomie: Hey. (Joining me in bed) I've got news.

Me: What?

Roomie: Baby!

That's right everyone! I am once again the proud aunt of a little bundle of joy!

On July 12, at 11:27 pm, weighing in at 7 lbs 5 oz, a new little soul joined us.
His name is Tristan Gabriel Huisman.

I can't wait to meet him!!

Moving Suckz!

It's no secret to anyone that I hate moving.

I hate it. I hate it. I hate it.

I like being settled, with everything in it's place and not stuck in a box somewhere.
This is why I hate my basement... and my bedroom. Full of boxes that I haven't unpacked yet.

Stupid boxes.

But this time, (thankfully!) it's not me! It's ScottyBomb. Fortunately, I deal much better with someone else's moving.

Today is the Take Possession Day! This weekend is the Bring The Rest Of The Crap Home Weekend!

"I can't wait," she said, dripping with sarcasm.

But seriously, I don't mind. It's the girlfriendly duty; part of that being in love thing. And the least I could do. He's helped me move. Twice.

Sigh...

Good thing there's booze involved, because I hate moving.

4 Dayz of ScottyBomb

So we have just finished the 2nd annual 4-Day Date.
Last year, around Canada Day, I happened to have an extra-long long weekend. So ScottyBomb and I decided to visit some of the Edmonton attractions. We hit the Oddyssium, the Muttart Conservatory, the Provincial Museum, the Valley Zoo and Ft. Edmonton Park.

We did the same thing this year. Of course, there have been some name changes: the Oddyssium is now the Telus World of Science (or as I like to call it, the Telus-is-Trying-to-Buy-Edmonton-Building) and, thanks to the Royal Visit, the Provincial Museum is now the Royal Museum of Alberta.

Thank goodness the weather was nice. I managed to avoid sunburn everywhere except my forehead, so I wasn't feeling so hot (no pun intended) the other night. But we had a good time. Took some pictures, ate some ice cream, bought some funny presents for each other (I got to cross something of my list!). ScottyBomb bought me Kenya at the zoo! It was great!

And since it's become an annual thing now, I can't wait for next year! Maybe we'll have time to add something else to the list of places. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get them off my camera.

***The following paragraph is full of mushy-lovey stuff. You have been warned***
I spent the entire weekend being completely smitten. You know that feeling you get at the beginning of a relationship?
It's when your eyes are kind of glazed over and you find yourself saying things like, "You should watch him breathe, he's so good at it." When everyone within a 15 foot radius gets a toothache from the two of you, that's smit.
Then your brain regains control and you turn into a normal human being again and (hopefully) start building connections and feelings that go deeper than that. ScottyBomb and I have been dating almost 1 1/2 years; we've already done that whole "honeymoon" phase, moved on and now have a wonderful, loving relationship.
But this weekend was different. It was smit all over again. SMIT!!! More than once I caught myself staring at him thinking, "He's cute!"
I don't think I could stop loving this guy if I tried. He's my sexy, blonde-surfer-hair, wrestlin'-lovin', game-playing geek and I love him with all I've got.
***Mushy part over. Thank you***
So the long weekend was great, but now I have to sleep. It's back to the grind bright and early tomorrow.
I'll be early, but I refuse to be bright!!
